Delete Account & Data
How to request deletion of your account and what data will be removed or retained
How to request deletion
- Open the Egas app and go to Settings > Account > Delete Account.
- Or email us at support@egas.com with the subject
Account Deletion Requestand include your name and linked phone number. - We’ll verify your identity and confirm deletion within 7 business days.
Data deleted
- Profile info (name, phone, email, profile picture)
- Authentication data and OTP records
- Preferences, saved items, in-app usage history
- User-generated content unless legally required
Data retained
- Transaction records (for tax/accounting)
- Security logs (fraud prevention)
- Backup data (isolated, deleted per schedule)
Retention periods
- Most personal data: within 30 days
- Transactions/legal records: up to 7 years
- Security logs: up to 90 days
Important: Deletion is permanent and cannot be reversed. Non-personal aggregated data may remain.
